Lee Clarke BOst (Hons) Osteopath
Lee became interested in osteopathy having developed his own neck and shoulder problems causing pain, sleepless nights, time off work and left him unable to participate in activities he enjoyed. A friend recommended he visit an osteopath and he was amazed by how much-improved mobility and pain relief he experienced following hands-on, osteopathic treatment.
This led him to question and research how osteopathy works. Lee recognised that retraining as an osteopath would provide him with an opportunity to combine several areas, he’s passionate about; health, using his hands, problem-solving, helping and meeting people. In 2014 he began studying at The College of Osteopaths undertaking a five-year degree where he achieved 1st Class honours.
During his training, Lee implemented osteopathic care programmes for a diverse group of patients from children to the seniors within two separate college clinics; Marylebone (London) and Borehamwood (Hertfordshire). He studied human anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, pathology, nutrition and underwent 1200 hours of clinical training, where he treated patients under the supervision of a clinician.
In His Free Time
“I love spending time with my wife and son, we all share a passion for wildlife, nature and enjoy country and coastal walks with our dogs. We are foodies, I enjoy cooking, baking and entertaining our friends and family. I am a keen football fan, gardener, I hike, strength train, and practice reformer Pilates.”
Lee’s Osteopathic & Family Journey
In 2019 Lee launched ‘Lee Clarke Osteopath’, originally located within Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Eton, Berkshire. Whilst establishing his practice, Lee undertook an internship with Speedworks London, working alongside professional coaches, and other osteopaths as part of a medical team, providing injury assessment, prevention and rehabilitation for elite British and Irish athletes.
In the build-up to the Tokyo Olympics 2020, Lee worked at Brunel University with Linford Christie Academy, providing osteopathic care for British and European sprinters.
Lee and his family spent over 25 years living in west London, and Berkshire. The coronavirus lockdown gave them an opportunity to contemplate their future. In 2022 they relocated to beautiful south-east Cornwall, to live in a healthier environment, and in aim of embracing a more dreckly way of life…….
Lee has worked as an associate in Toddington, Bedfordshire 2020-21, and locum in Looe and Millbrook, Cornwall (2022). During his osteopathic career, he has treated people from all walks of life, including; office workers, farmers, plumbers, sportsmen/women, actors, fisherman, electricians, film crew, pregnant women, builders, school children, General Practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, surgeons, ex-serviceman and people who have retired.

My Clinical Approach
“When meeting a patient for the first time it’s vital to gain an understanding of their lifestyle, occupation and general health. This begins to build a picture of why they are in pain today, and how I can help to prevent future problems.
As an osteopath I have been trained to differentiate between muscle and joint conditions, and systemic diseases. Most patients I assess do present with muscle and joint problems, however during my years in practice I have referred patients to their G.P., or the NHS who have been diagnosed with systemic conditions.
I utilise osteopathic techniques and prescribe exercise rehabilitation, in aim of reducing pain, improving mobility and increasing strength.”
The Clarke Clinic
In 2023 Lee re-branded ‘Lee Clarke Osteopath’ to ‘The Clarke Clinic’. My aim is to offer additional first-class, healthcare services alongside osteopathy. Providing south-east Cornwall and south-west Devon with quality and accessible healthcare.
Lee has invested in Footscan technology, a data driven pressure plate, analysing pressure and foot movement whilst walking. Footscan is superior to other modalities such as a visual gait analysis, or a static foot imprint. 17-30% of the U.K. general population experience mechanical foot pain, the data from Footscan helps to assess if your gait, and foot movement are contributing towards muscle and joint pain.
