Neck Pain

Our necks are vulnerable to injury because the joints in our neck are extremely mobile and carry 4-5 KG in weight, our heads.

Neck pain can be associated with a poor sleeping position, postural strain and psychological stress. Neck conditions can cause headaches and sharp, shooting, stabbing, burning sensations, which may be accompanied by pins and needles and muscle weakness in the shoulder, arm and hand.

Each person and their presenting symptoms are unique. After considering your individual lifestyle, occupation and medical history, appropriate examinations and orthopaedic tests are utilised resulting in a diagnosis. Our bespoke treatment plans don’t only consider the symptomatic area of pain, but also consist of treating a wider area, which may include your pelvis, back and shoulders. Home exercises, postural and health advice can be key rehabilitation factors and are often incorporated within your appointment.
